Amy's Imaginary Friend

Vision: A nice, simple image of the doctor and his comapanion, looking out over the endless Universe, whats not to like.

Originality: The art style is good, it looks as though it has a healthy balance of manga and western cartoon style in it, the background I assume is something you found on google images or something of that ilk (correct me if I'm wrong). As for characters, they are original, but perhaps for the wrong reasons, which I will cover in impact...

Technique: The shading, is very nicely done, anaomy is good too, the linework is clean and clear, my only gripe: The way you've done their hair makes it look rather stringy. I would suggest looking up cartoon hair from the any Disney movie, they're all done very well. The background is also slightly distracting, its colours a lot more vibrant than the ones we are ment to be focusing on.

Impact: This is probably where I have the biggest problem with this piece, if it weren't for the Fez, bowtie and coat, I would never consider this person to be the 11th doctor. Matt Smith has a very defined face that I just don't see here, nor with Amy, had it not been for her attire and haircut I would see her as Amy. Granted it is a cartoon style, but as its based on existing people, one would think that they ought to at least look something like their source material. I would suggest looking up caricatures of Matt Smith (Be warned, some are rather horrifying) and Amy, generlly when a carton is based ona real person, one must excentuate certain features to show who they are.
